CybSPEED project
H2020-MSCA-RISE-2017 grant 777720
The Praxis Model Therapeutic and Counseling Unit has been active in pediatric intervention in Kavala since 2001 as one of the most comprehensive, continuous and pioneering centers in the region.
Based on the principle that each child should be treated as a seperate and unique personality with its own needs, the unit provides personal intervention in order to maximize each child's abilities and prospects and minimize his / her deficiencies.
The core principle of the unit is the continuous search for more efficient techniques using innovative technological tools. In this spirit and in a collaboration with the ‘Human-Machine-Interaction’ laboratory (see http://humain-lab.teiemt.gr/), "Praxis" is a partner in the project with the title “Cyber Physical Systems for PEdagogical Rehabilitation in Special Education (CybSPEED)”. The project is funded by the European Commission's Horizon 2020 Research Program (H2020-MSCA-RISE-2017) (see https://cordis.europa.eu/project/rcn /212970_en.html) and is aimed at improving special education through innovative robotic technologies.
